Sing from the Heart
Mantra Singing Session
Wednesday 31 July
19h00 - 20h15
"“I want to sing like the birds sing, not worrying about who hears or what they think.”
Join us for our Sing from the Heart Mantra Singing Session at Santé Yoga. Relax and nurture your creativity and wellbeing with mantras to uplift, and promote healing and peace.
We will explore and practice mantras from different spiritual and world music traditions.
We will be using a variety of methods including sound meditation, vowel/chakra toning, mantra singing, chanting and breath work to support us in opening our voices and singing from the heart.
Our mantra singing sessions are suitable for complete beginners, or those wishing to develop their own practice. No prior experience is necessary.
What is a mantra?
"The word mantra can be broken down into two parts: “man,” which means mind, and “tra,” which means transport or vehicle. In other words, a mantra is an instrument of the mind—a powerful sound or vibration that you can use to enter a deep state of meditation.
Like a seed planted with the intention of blossoming into a beautiful perennial, a mantra can be thought of as a seed for energizing an intention. Much in the same way you plant a flower seed, you plant mantras in the fertile soil of practice. You nurture them and over time they bear the fruit of your intention."
We look forward to welcoming you.

Listen to some of our favourite mantras below. Lokah Samasta - sung by our Sing from the Heart singers during a rehearsal, and Om Shanti by Bliss.
Om is believed to be a sound of the whole cosmic manifestation. And Shanti is the "Peace". It means 'Om Shanti' means peace for the all human kind, peace for all living and non living beings, peace for the universe, peace for each and every things in this whole cosmic manifestation.
